ESPN Unveils Their Own Top 100 Prospects

ESPN Hates Aumont, Loves Chisenhall... and 99 More

ESPN's third annual look at their top 100 prospects for 2010 is topped by some familiar names, as ex-Blue Jay front office man Keith Law runs down his favorite youngsters.    

Jason Heyward, Stephen Strasburg and Buster Posey top ex-exec Law's chart of 2010's best prospects.

Most of Law's list is pretty by-the-book, though he's got a few clear pet projects. For example, he's higher on Red Sox pitcher Casey Kelly and Cleveland shortstop Lonnie Chisenhall than anyone else who's spoken up so far this year, though we have noticed Kelly's been creeping up almost everyone's list all winter long.

Conversely, there are a few somewhat surprising omissions, with no sign of such prospects as Red Sox fireballer Daniel Bard or new Phillies phenom Phllip Aumont to be found anywhere. Of course, any kind of '100' cutoff is bound to leave a few deserving players on the outside.

Overall, Law's list looks pretty damn solid to us, and we look at an awful lot of these things. We encourage everyone to give it some well-deserved consideration. You'll need to get behind ESPN's paywall to see all the details, but the entry point for the rest of us mere mortals is right here:
