L.A. Dodgers: Top 2012 Prospects

The Team With Heart and Courage Still Needs Brains

Zach Lee is a strong righthander who should arrive to bolster the Dodger rotation very shortly.

Pity the Dodgers, one of baseball's signature franchises now fallen on hard times. The club is stuck between gears, halfway in forward and half in idle, trying to win now as well as win later, all with a suspended budget, a lame duck owner and a desperation that's almost palpable. The headless franchise certainly looked it last season, trading away five-tool prospect Trayvon Robinson to the Red Sox for... not much.

While everyone who bleeds blue is hoping new ownership will bring a saner hand at the rudder, there are still a few bright spots in the Dodger minor league system today. Just don't get too attached to them yet.

The usual disclaimer: Scouting Book's Prospect Rankings change very often, to reflect the latest and most promising prospects and situations. These listings recalculate every day as we include new input, correct errors (thanks for letting us know, helpful readers) and MLB situations evolve.
