Show Me The Nickels!

Shameless ScoutingBook Website Now Accepts Tips, Charity

Pittances now accepted at ScoutingBook.com. We have no shame.

Believe it or not, a reader actually requested this new 'feature' on our site. Really. We swear... and not just a Roger Clemens/Mike Wallace 'swear', either... a real one. So we've added a cute little 'donate' button to the site so that you can tip us a dollar or three whenever you like via nice, safe Paypal.

The Tip Jar button will float around next to content whenever there's nothing else to fill the space. It looks like this:

And you're welcome to use it to send us anything from seven cents to nine jillion dollars (note: receipts will be issued for any tip over 1.0 Jillion.)

We'll use any tips we receive to pay for and improve the website, of course, with the usual rule that anything left over will be used exclusively on beer.

So if you have a feature you'd like invented, or a comment you want us to take very very seriously, attach some Hamiltons to it. Or at least a few nickels. We can be bribed, and we're very very cheap.

Let's see if this whole micro-commerce thing works, or if it's just another fad like color-changing t-shirts, 8-track cassettes and the Internet.

Don't worry, we won't be turning ScoutingBook.com into a pay site on you. If we help you out, make you laugh, or help your fantasy team rock the draft or finish in the money, now there's a way you can say thanks.

(Actually, we kind of like it when the e-mails say 'thanks', too... and those pictures of cute girls [and boys! -- BG] holding championship trophies are always welcome. Someday we'll make a gallery of all the imaginary teams we helped win championships.)

In the mean time, we promise to get back to our regular-scheduled prospect pontification right away, instead of taking up valuable screen space begging for money. Please enjoy our (still-free!) website and tools, and be happy that our readers didn't ask for something even more awkward, like 'more photos of Roger Clemens bleeding through his pants.'
