While he struggled some at AA, he has solid career numbers, and projects to be a significant piece of the rotation in the near future. His 1.29 WHIP and 361:142 K to BB ratio come from more than 350 minor league innings, so although he's young and could use some more minor league polishing-up, he's the real deal.

Gallagher, who's looked good in his early opportunities, will be given a chance to nail down a full-time rotation spot, according to the Chicago Tribune.
