Sean O'Sullivan
Born 9/1/1987
RHP, LAA
An unsigned pick finally secured as a draft-and-follow by the Angels in 2006, righthander Sean O'Sullivan was the Angel's minor league ppitcher of the year for 2007. A well rounded college-type pitcher without a single overpowering pitch, he throws four very good pitches for strikes instead, and uses a veteran's guile to add and subtract from his fastball at will. At high-A Rancho Cucamonga last year, 'Nach-O' made 28 starts, posting a 16-8 record with a 4.73 ERA and 111 strikeouts in 158 innings. That's not enough for a fast track to Anaheim, but it's good enough to keep moving up. He'll probably start back in Cucamonga but move to AA by midseason. He's on the radar for 2010.
